When will my pledge ship?

Content in this campaign is estimated to ship in November of 2025. Follow the campaign updates for details as we complete development and production.

If your pledge includes a copy of the Oath base game, the base game will ship at the conclusion of the campaign (June/July 2024.)

When will shipping charges be collected?

Shipping charges will be collected closer to when the campaign closes, at that time we’ll charge cards for shipping.

We will send out updates via our pledge manager in advance of this lock date.

What if I move or need to change my shipping address?

If you need to update your address after the campaign ends, but before we lock addresses, you can do so directly via your pledge manager survey.

Will you offer late pledges after the campaign is over?

Yes, we will be offering late pledges, with further details to come.

Will the Deluxe Components ship early with my copy of the Oath base game?

No, the Oath Deluxe Components and Deluxe Components II will ship with the expansion content.

All-In pledges will receive the Oath base game following the closing of this campaign.

Will the Clockwork Adversaries expansion work with other player counts, outside the solo play experience?

Currently, the automated opponents work in games from 1 to 3 players but there is still a lot of development needed. We would like them to be as flexible as possible, but don’t want to compromise the solo experience. Look forward to more updates from Liz and Ricky in the coming months!

Are there exclusives in this campaign? Will everything be available later in retail?

We will sell all expansion content at a later date in retail, including things like the Denizens Deck and the new deluxe components. We do not do campaign exclusives, so if you can’t back it now you won’t miss out!

Why did I receive part of my pledge and not the whole thing?

If your pledge includes a copy of the Oath base game, we’re able to send it immediately following the campaign as it is in stock at our warehouse. You’ll receive the Oath: New Foundations content once we finish printing and shipping the expansion (estimated Q4 of 2025.)

I’m a European backer. Will I have to pay VAT?

Yes, as required by law. VAT rates will be based on the cost of your total pledge plus shipping, and vary depending on your residing country. These costs will be reflected and collected in the pledge manager after the crowdfunding campaign is over.

My region is not covered under the “friendly” shipping areas, will I have to pay customs/VAT/additional taxes?

All regions and countries not listed under “friendly” shipping areas are subject to any regional import fees or taxes as they may apply locally.

The shipping section says you aren’t shipping to my region, can you please add my region?

Unfortunately we cannot. We encourage you to contact a local retailer and make plans with them to place a retail order. if possible.

Will I be able to add smaller items and bonus content as add-ons?

Yes! Each individual product (aside from the Oath base game) can be added on in the pledge manager.

You may add on both Deluxe Component sets, the Chronicle Journal, both sleeve sets, and the Denizen Deck in the pledge manager.

Can I pledge for just the Oath base game and New Foundations?

Unfortunately we don’t plan on having base Oath as an add-on for the campaign​. However it is already available via our webstore: https://ledergames.com/products/oath-chronicles-of-empire-exile and many other retail outlets including friendly local game stores for purchase!

If I pledge the Clockwork Adversaries and New Foundations separately will I receive two copies of the of bonus content? What if I pledge purchase multiple pledges of the same level (i.e. 2x New Foundations pledges)?

If you purchase two separate pledges (1x Clockwork Adversaries and 1x New Foundations), this will be treated as the $90 pledge level (All the New Stuff) and you will only get one copy of the bonus content.

If you are ordering multiple copies of the same pledge level (i.e. 2x New Foundations pledges) you will get two copies of the bonus content.

Can I add other Leder Games titles to my order in the pledge manager?

Unfortunately not, as it overcomplicates logistics and fulfillment. However, you can buy available Leder Games stock on our webstore: https://ledergames.com/collections/full-catalog

Will the Oath expansion content be printed in any languages other than English?

The first printing of the Oath expansion will be in English. As a general rule we implement localization efforts with the second printing of our products.

There are a number of internal and external resources required for the more than 13 languages our games are printed in and we’ve found this is the most efficient process for the studio and its partners.

Will shipping rates change prior to fulfillment?

It is extremely unlikely but not impossible. If rates do change, we will notify backers appropriately before shipping charges are collected. We always do our best to avoid increasing any costs already determined in a campaign.

Will all of the new content fit in the base game box?

We currently do not know yet! We’ve budgeted time in the development to work on storage and there may be additional add-ons associated with it. We spent about a month working on the Arcs storage solution so we want to give Oath that same consideration, but I don’t feel comfortable committing to anything quite yet.

Why aren’t there any Stretch Goals?

Leder Games aims to present you with the full product offering on the first day of our campaigns. As a general ethos, we want to give our crowdfunding backers a substantial value without attempting to capitalize on the fear of missing out or gimmicks.

Will you offer a revised rulebook?

When there are improvements or alterations to a game’s rulebook, we do our best to include a fresh copy of that rulebook in the game’s expansions. We are currently planning on including a revised Law of Oath in the New Foundations expansion.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
